DJ Willrich Ltd has won a contract to install multimedia systems within Bristol’s brand-new MShed museum. The attraction, which will become the city’s flagship museum, will feature three galleries showing the history of Bristol from prehistoric times to the 21st century. It aims to challenge the perceptions of what it has meant to live in the city over the centuries, through the recollections of the people who shaped the city.
DJ Willrich has been appointed to install high-tech features, which will add to the user experience. These will include a large number of interactive data points, audio soundscapes and large projections and displays utilising HD content.
Director, Josh Miller, said: “Both the City Council and Event Communications have been incredibly forward-thinking in the design and planning of this museum and it is set to be a popular attraction, not only for tourists but for the city’s residents too. By installing high-tech, interactive displays, we know that visitors will feel much more a part of the museum.”
