As the exclusive distributor for Promethean in the UK, Maverick says it has seen its sales of the company’s interactive products more than double over the past 12 months. It is now investing in two dedicated field-based heads to ensure that the growth continues.
Sid Stanley, head of Maverick UK, states: “We have developed an excellent relationship with Promethean and its partner channel and, through their continual innovation and through sales, logistics, financial and marketing support, grown our Promethean sales very significantly indeed.”
“We are now stepping up the pace so that we can maintain this momentum while also continuing to meet the needs of all resellers looking to address opportunities with Promethean’s interactive solutions in the education, public sector and commercial markets. As well as driving sales Maverick’s growth of the Promethean product range has been achieved during a period of restraint in public spending.”
Maverick is recruiting two new members to the Maverick team who will be 100 per cent dedicated to Promethean partners. They will be field-based and work ‘hands-on’ with resellers, providing training and assistance with demonstrations ensuring that partners can maximise the benefits of working both with Maverick and Promethean.
The new heads will join Maverick’s expanding business development team, which provides specialist sales support and advice on a wide range of audiovisual products to professional installers, integrators and resellers.
Ian Curtis, Head of Promethean UKI and Northern Europe is delighted with the positive growth that Maverick has achieved and is optimistic about the future. He said: “In a mature market and with a cautious public sector, Maverick’s successes speak for themselves. To achieve growth at this time shows that our strategy of combining product innovation, delivered through specialist and focussed distribution is working to our advantage.”
Promethean’s continual innovation has ensured that Maverick always has powerful new propositions to take to market. Most recently, the company has enjoyed considerable success with the new ActivBoard 500, which combines intuitive pen and touch capabilities with Windows 7 to raise the standard for interactive display systems and provide richer content creation and a more exciting and engaging learning experience.
