Philips Professional Display Solutions appoint LED specialist, Andrea Greguoldo

Andrea Greguoldo as Philips Professional Display Solutions’ new sales manager for the Italian market.

Philips Professional Display Solutions has announced the appointment of highly experienced LED specialist, Andrea Greguoldo as its new sales manager for the Italian market. Based in Milan, highly sought after Andrea, brings more than 10-years pro AV experience to Philips PDS, joining from Samsung Electronics, where he spent two years in senior sales management positions, including LED project sales manager and more recently, key account manager and LED specialist.

Andrea, who has also held sales management positions at DigiLED, LEDman, and Lighthouse, will be responsible for driving sales and awareness of Philips Professional Display Solutions’ expanding range of LED solutions to the Italian marketplace, identifying new business opportunities, nurturing and maintaining existing relationships and spearheading sales and marketing strategies.

According to market forecasts, sales of LED display sales will more than double to $6.6 billion by 2023. Figures from AVIXA predict revenue from video displays, particularly direct-view LED, will see considerable growth in EMEA, with this product segment forecasted to grow at 8.4 percent in the region over the next five years – presenting significant opportunities.

Philips Professional Display Solutions is also delighted to announce two further internal changes to its Italian management team for both Simone Gagliardi and Andrea Castelnuovo. Simone Gagliardi, who joined Philips Professional Display Solutions back in 2011, moves from his position as Sales Director for Italy to the position of International Key Account Director – Retail. Simone will bring his valuable experience to expand the International Key Account Management team, which will see a number of positive changes in coming months.

As Sales Director, Simone played an intrinsic role in creating and building the Italian team for Philips Professional Display Solutions, achieving incredible growth and success. His responsibilities in his new role as International Key Account Director will include further building upon Philips PDS’s already established retail business on a European level, working closely with his team and partners to support retail projects.

Andrea Castelnuovo will take over the role as Sales Director, Italy. Andrea joined the Italian sales team at Philips Professional Display Solutions as channel sales manager in 2016. He has played an important role in business turnaround in the country, helping to boost sales and profitability, overseeing signage distribution and major end user project and installations.

Castelnuovo will be responsible for maintaining and continuing to improve market share for Philips Professional Display Solutions in Italy, helping drive the brand and its portfolio into new markets. These include a new range of dedicated interactive displays, such as C-Line (corporate), B Line (meeting rooms and food and beverage) and T-Line (education), as well as the extended Mediasuite Pro TV range (hospitality), featuring embedded Netflix and Google Assistant.
