Pioneer Group has been on a recruitment drive to keep up with demand following a successful end to 2020 and the start of 2021.
Mark Childerhouse, Sales Director of Pioneer Group, commented, “When the pandemic first hit was a scary time for us, we initially saw installs being postponed, and it was incredibly nerve-racking. As the months passed, we found ourselves busier than ever with clients looking for advice and support to adapt to the current situation and plan for the future. Many of our clients chose to upgrade their stores and venues while they were quieter and turned to us to support them, and it has led to a requirement to grow our team.”
With lockdown lifted, Pioneer Group is confident that the AV industry’s future is optimistic and sees 2021 as the ideal time to invest in personnel.
July saw Pioneer Group welcome new starters Johnathan Rose who joins Pioneer from Prodec Networks, Lauren Butcher, who joins from Softcat and Luke Derry, who joined as a Sales administrator in April.
Johnathan will be strengthening Pioneer Groups Unified Communications division as an Account Manager, having spent 15 years in sales roles supporting customers. “I started my AV career in distribution covering a sales and a technical role for RGB Communications before moving to an integrator. For the last two years, I’ve been working with various clients in the corporate and education sectors to help deliver collaborative solutions and am excited to jump into my new role for the Pioneer Group, where I will be continuing to support clients with these solutions.” Confirmed Johnathan.
Lauren has been in IT sales for the past two years, working as an Account Manager to help facilitate intelligent IT solutions to public sector organisations such as schools and colleges for Softcat.
“I wanted a role that would combine my love of hospitality and retail with my passion for AV technology and supporting customers. My new role as an Account Manager at Pioneer Group will be focused on the retail sector, and I can’t wait to help customers with innovative AV/Digital signage solutions.” Lauren Butcher
Luke Derry joined Pioneer Group in April and is part of an apprenticeship scheme to support new talent.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity here at Pioneer; I studied Information Technology at Southampton Solent University and have a passion for technology. To be working with a company that works with such prestigious customers installing and implementing these world-class solutions is amazingly exciting, and I can’t wait to see what my future holds.” Luke Derry
Natalie Gould | Operations Director of Pioneer Group, stated, “We are growing our operations and engineering teams to provide key support to the growth of our business. 2020 was a year that no one could have predicted, but it also showed us what a great team of people we have. We have been able to come through the pandemic stronger than ever. These three new recruits into our sales team are the tip of the iceberg as we continue to grow and develop to support our customers.”
