Promethean has appointed Midwich Limited as a new UK distributor in a move that aims to strategically align channel operations with the evolving needs of its reseller partners and strengthen its market-leading position in Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPDs) for K12.
Operating a dual-distribution model that gives its partners increased flexibility and choice, Promethean has appointed Midwich to work alongside incumbent distributor, Tech Data, from 1st February 2021. Exertis UK will continue to supply the Promethean ActivPanel Elements Series until February 2021.
Promethean continually reviews and evaluates how it can enhance its channel offering, recognising that a robust route to market is key for strengthening its K12 leadership in IFPDs.
Commenting on the drivers behind the move, Simon Port, Head of Channel Operations, UKI & Asia Pacific, said: “2020 has been a year like no other. But, we’ve succeeded in maintaining a two-way dialogue with our reseller partners that has enabled us to closely monitor how their needs are evolving in light of challenging market conditions.

Identifying that our partners required more focused support than ever before, we’ve appointed Midwich as a specialist AV distributor to address this need specifically.”
Midwich is the UK’s leading trade-only distributor of technology solutions. The appointment applies to the UK only. Exertis Ireland will continue to be Promethean’s sole distributor in the Irish market.
